A former LSU star running back is joining the New Orleans Saints.
The team has signed Baton Rouge native Clyde Edwards-Helaire to the practice squad. "Clyde the Glyde" was a member of the Tigers' 2019 National Championship team.
The Kansas City Chiefs drafted him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and waived him on Monday.
The 25-year-old back didn't play in any games this season for the Chiefs, who put him on the non-football illness list before the season started.
