Congressman Garret Graves is not President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for U.S. Secretary of Transportation.

Graves was reportedly under consideration for the position, but Trump has selected former Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy instead.

Graves is a Baton Rouge native who chairs the Aviation Subcommittee on Transportation in the U.S. House of Representatives. He didn't run for re-election this year after his congressional district was redrawn.

He advised the Trump campaign on transportation and infrastructure policy.
