The bridge on Barringer Foreman Road is reopened as of Wednesday, two months ahead of schedule.
The bridge over Ward Creek was closed last December because of structural damage caused by debris that hit a center piling during heavy weather.
The debris was left over from an Army Corps of Engineers operation.
Repairs to the damaged pile, the concrete cap, and the bridge deck cost $485,000, and the city-parish is asking the Army Corps of Engineers for reimbursement.
