La. DCFS Secretary Receives Massive Pay Cut, Deputy Moves To Another Job

The head of Louisiana's Department of Children and Family Services is on the receiving end of a huge pay cut, reportedly at his own request.

DCFS Secretary David Matlock's annual pay was slashed on Wednesday from $175,000 to less than $51,000.

A spokesman for the office of the Commissioner of Administration says Matlock asked for the pay cut himself.

DCFS Deputy Secretary Toby Comeaux is moving to the Louisiana College and Technical Colleges System to be the vice president of administration.
