The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is announcing overnight closures on Interstate 12 this weekend.
DOTD says the eastbound lanes of I-12 will be closed at the I-10/I-12 split from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., starting tonight and continuing Friday and Saturday nights.

The closures will allow crews to install bridge girders for the College Drive flyover ramp project.
Drivers can detour via I-10 eastbound to the Essen Lane exit and then head north on Essen Lane to reach I-12.
