A candlelight vigil is planned for one of Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's staffers who was killed in a traffic accident.
Simone Pillette died early Sunday morning when her car ran off I-12 and hit a tree.
Pillette was Broome's office manager and was also involved in the Mayor's Advisory Council on Veterans Affairs.
The vigil will be held behind Baton Rouge City Hall at 7 p.m. on Friday.
