The Baton Rouge Police Department is reporting the largest seizure of meth and fentanyl in its history.
On Wednesday evening, the Special Investigations Unit searched a home on Keaty Drive, prompting the investigation of two more homes on Vermillion Drive and Adams Avenue.
Officers found nearly five pounds of fentanyl and 150 pounds of meth, plus lesser amounts of heroin, pot, and Xanax. The estimated street value of the drugs is $500,000.
The officers also seized six guns, including a stolen one, and arrested one suspect.
