Top Contenders For EBR Mayor-President Disclose Campaign Donations

The candidates in the East Baton Rouge Mayor-President race are reporting the most recent quarter's campaign donations.

Incumbent Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has raised $210,000 since May. In that same period, challenger Ted James raised $310,000.

James says his campaign is a grassroots movement with more than 1,000 individual donations.

Broome and James are both Democrats.

Other contenders report only a few thousand or even a few hundred in campaign donations.
