The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a six-month-old baby in a hot car on Tuesday.
Deputies responded around 5:45 p.m. to the report of an unresponsive child in a car on East Tom Stokes Court. They found the baby dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the child's parent forgot to drop the baby off at daycare before going to work. As a result, the baby stayed in the car all day.
