Air Conditioning Coming To EBR, Ascension Parish School Buses

The East Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish school boards says their school bus fleets will soon be air conditioned.

Last year, bus drivers in East Baton Rouge Parish went on strike during a heat wave.

School leaders in both parishes say at least 85 percent of their buses will have air conditioning by the time the school year starts.

The EBR school system says they're already seeing more drivers hiring on.
