Entergy Louisiana is sending 200 workers to Texas to help the two million residents who lost power during Hurricane Beryl.

The utility made the announcement on Monday.

More than 200,000 of the Texans in the dark are Entergy customers, though most are customers of Houston-based CenterPoint Energy.

A company spokesman says Entergy is sending transmission linemen and distribution linemen.

Entergy crews from other states are also on their way to Texas to assist.
