The ACLU of Louisiana and other civil liberties groups say they plan to sue over a new state requirement to display the Ten Commandments in the classrooms of every public school.

Gov. Jeff Landry signed House Bill 71 into law on Wednesday. The law has regulations for the size of the posters, which will be paid for by donations and not state funds.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill says images of Moses can be seen in eight places in the U.S. Supreme Court Great Hall ceiling, so she looks forward to defending the new law in court.
