Officials Seek Public Help In Denham Springs H.S. Fire Investigation

The State Fire Marshal's Office and Denham Springs police are trying to find a person of interest wanted in connection with a fire in late May at Denham Springs High School.

First responders were dispatched to the high school on Range Avenue at about 2 a.m. on May 26 Upon arrival, they were able to contain the fire to the school's west side but the damage was extensive.

Deputies say the fire appears to have been set intentionally.

An individual is known to have entered the campus area on a bicycle at the time of the fire, leaving shortly before firefighters arrived.

Anyone with information about the bicyclist's identity is asked to contact police or the state fire marshal's office.
