Officials are identifying a suspect who was killed in a shootout with East Baton Rouge Parish deputies on Thursday morning.
The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. at a home on Robertson Avenue near Hollywood Street.
Deputies were executing a drug warrant when 21-year-old Tyquarius Armstrong exchanged gunfire with them.
Armstrong was shot and died at the scene.
One deputy was wounded but is already home from the hospital. Another deputy escaped injury when a bullet hit his body armor.
