Fire From Homeless Camp Damages Sound Wall On I-12 In Baton Rouge

The Louisiana Department of Transportation is working to repair fire damage to part of a sound barrier on I-12.

The fire happened one night last week on I-12 westbound between Drusilla Lane and Essen Lane.

The St. George Fire Department blames a cooking fire at a homeless camp.

The barrier is next to a wooded area that's reportedly well-known for homeless encampments.
