Local School Closures Continue Because Of Storm Damage, Power Outages

Classes are canceled today in a number of school districts in the Baton Rouge area because of storm damage and power outages.

All West Feliciana and Pointe Coupee Parish schools are closed today.

In East Feliciana Parish, all schools and offices are closed.

No word yet as to whether classes will resume on Friday.

Officials are evaluating damage to campuses and buildings and waiting for the power to come back on.
