The Small Business Administration is offering federal aid to crawfish farmers in Louisiana.

Officials with Congressman Troy Carter's office and the SBA held the first of several seminars on Monday in New Orleans.

They announced the availability of Economic Injury Disaster Loans to people in the state's mudbug industry.

Gov. Jeff Landry issued a disaster declaration earlier this month, enabling the SBA to offer the low-interest loans.

The next seminar is scheduled for Thursday in Baton Rouge.
