BRPD Identifies Woman Found Shot To Death On Florida Boulevard

Officials are identifying a woman who was found dead outside a Florida Boulevard convenience store on Sunday evening.

Baton Rouge police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Abby Burt of Livingston Parish.

Officers responded around 5:45 p.m. to the discovery of a woman's body at the Fast Lane store on Florida Boulevard near Flannery Road.

Burt was found on the side of the building with a gunshot wound to her head.

Police say she could have been killed anytime between Saturday night and Sunday evening.
