Nearly 2,500 Louisiana residents have received letters saying their driver's license will be suspended if they don't get an eye exam.

A spokesman for the Office of Motor Vehicles confirmed that the agency sent the letters.

An OMV investigation found that a worker at a privately-owned Public Tag Agent in the Baton Rouge area failed to administer vision tests to people who were applying for a driver's license.

The location involved is reportedly on Florida Blvd.

The spokesman says the people affected can go to an OMV field office or the place that issued their license and take a vision test at no charge.
