The Baton Rouge Police Department is getting a new crime-fighting technology known as the Page-Rice Public Safety Initiative.
It's named for three-year-old Devin Page and LSU student Allie Rice, who were both murdered.
The system uses cameras that are monitored by police agencies.
A license plate reader and AI equipment called ZeroEye will be able to spot and locate a person with a gun.
Former military and police personnel will then use human eyes to determine if it's somebody with a gun or something that looks like a gun.
