Adam Smith Named Interim Superintendent Of EBR Schools

Adam Smith is the new interim superintendent of East Baton Rouge Public Schools.

The school board approved Dr. Sito Narcisse's resignation on Tuesday and appointed Smith as his temporary successor.

Narcisse stepped down from the position on Friday, six weeks after the school board rejected a contract extension.

Smith has taught in East Baton Rouge for 25 years, and has been a principal at several of the district's schools.
