The Saints are beginning their offseason.
New Orleans wrapped up the season second in the NFC South at 9-8.
Head coach Dennis Allen said on Monday that he expects to return as the Saints' coach next season. Allen is 16-18 overall in two seasons leading the Saints.
In other news, the team signed offensive tackle Mark Evans, cornerback Faion Hicks, tight ends Tommy Hudson and Michael Jacobson, guard Tommy Kraemer, wide receiver Niko Lalos, running backs Jordan Mims and James Robinson, linebacker Anfernee Orji, defensive lineman John Penisini and Jack Herlin to futures contracts.
