Agents: Signs Of Improvement In Louisiana's Insurance Crisis In 2024

Louisiana's property insurance crisis may show signs of improvement in the year ahead.

Insurance agents Dan Burghardt and Stephen Lovecchio both say they believe property insurance in Louisiana will become more available in 2024.

After Hurricane Ida wrecked southern Louisiana in 2021, some insurers left the state, went out of business, or stopped writing new coverage.

Lovecchio says more insurers are starting to write new policies in Louisiana.

Burghardt agrees, but he says they're being selective and cautious.
