Governor-elect Jeff Landry is announcing more key cabinet appointments for his upcoming administration.
On Wednesday at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, Landry named Dr. Ralph Abraham as the head of the Health Department, Madison Sheahan as the secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and David Matlock as the secretary of the Department of Children and Family Services.
Abraham is a former U.S. representative. Sheahan is the former executive director of the South Dakota GOP. Matlock was the chief judge of the Caddo Parish juvenile court.
Landry takes office on January 8.
