The federal Department of Education is investigating a reported civil rights violation at Tulane University.

The reported incident arose from a pro-Palestinian rally that happened off-campus in October, shortly after Hamas attacked Israel.

Protest organizers claimed Zionists assaulted Palestinian youths participating in the rally, including two minors.

Three people were arrested for attacking students and a Tulane Police officer.

The Department of Education added Tulane to its list of shared ancestry investigations on Tuesday.
