Southern University is moving to "remote operations" until Monday morning because of a power outage that hit the campus on Thursday.
The summer commencement ceremony will proceed today as scheduled, but only personnel involved with new student orientation will be allowed on campus.
University officials say virtual operations started at 1 p.m. Thursday at Southern University-Baton Rouge, the Southern University Law Center, and the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center.
