The ongoing extreme heat is prompting the New Orleans Saints to shorten the outdoor portion of their practices that are open to the public.

Team officials say they're shortening the team drills on the outdoor fields to about one hour, starting at 10 a.m.

The prior individual drills and stretches are moving indoors, and fans will be allowed inside about 9:15 a.m.

All tickets for the open practices have been distributed, and fans with tickets will be notified of the change.
