Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy is announcing his endorsement for the next Governor of Louisiana.
Cassidy announced today that he is backing Attorney General and fellow Republican Jeff Landry in the election later this year.
The Senator said he is friends with most of the people in the race, but "Landry has been the candidate connecting with the most people from all parts of the state."
Cassidy added that he and Landry "both strongly support Louisiana becoming the leader in the new energy economy."
