Construction is continuing on the new police station in Zachary.
Crews made a particularly early start this morning at the job site on Old Slaughter Road at Montegudo Boulevard.
Nearby residents were advised that the work crews would start pouring concrete around 2:30 a.m.
The contractor says the concrete had to be poured before the heat of the day, in order to have time to harden properly.
The new facility broke ground in April and is expected to be finished by the end of 2024.
