Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says he will not seek re-election.
Ardoin has announced that he will leave office after this term due to health concerns.
In his statement, Ardoin thanked election staff across the state for their work during his five years as the top election official and blasted what he called "pervasive lies" about the security of elections in Louisiana.
So far, two candidates have said they will run to succeed Ardoin.
