State health officials are warning that a deadly fungus is in Louisiana.
The Louisiana Department of Health says there have been 50 cases of the Candida Auris fungus in the state, which can make people with underlying health issues severely ill.
Medical experts are warning that the fungus is resistant to multiple drugs, and can be difficult to detect in labs.
The department says most of the confirmed cases in the state have been identified in the New Orleans area.
