No injuries are reported after Delta Airlines aborted the takeoff of a nonstop flight from New Orleans to Salt Lake City on Friday night.
Delta Flight 1482 was speeding down the runway at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport when a private Learjet rolling down the tarmac got too close for comfort.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the air traffic controller canceled the Delta flight's takeoff clearance to be on the safe side, and the jet made a tire-shredding emergency stop.
