A middle schooler is in custody after reportedly cutting another student at school on Monday.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says two sixth-graders got into an argument, and one of them cut the other one with a pocketknife.
The incident was reported around 11:30 a.m. at Capitol Middle School on Greenwell Springs Road
The wounded student was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies arrested the sixth-grader with the knife on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
