Two people are in trouble with Wildlife and Fisheries for reported shrimping violations in Terrebonne Parish.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, enforcement agents caught a skimmer vessel shrimping in the closed waters of Oyster Bayou.

Agents cited 61-year-old Keith Eschete and 49-year-old Keeley Vice for using skimmers during a closed season, and using oversized skimmer nets

The violations involve possible fines and jail time.

The agents seized the skimmer nets and nearly 1,500 pounds of shrimp, which were sold to the highest bidder.
