A teen is under indictment on two counts of rape in the Madison Brooks case and will be tried as an adult.
A grand jury indicted 17-year-old Desmond Carter on Wednesday on charges of first-degree and third-degree rape. The grand jury declined to indict Carter for kidnapping.
Carter is one of four suspects arrested in the case.
Brooks was an LSU student who ended up dead at the end of a drunken evening last month after a car hit her as she stood in the middle of a street.
The grand jury hasn't yet heard the cases involving the other three suspects.
