A Shreveport police officer was arrested today for the fatal shooting of an unarmed man earlier this month.

Officer Alexander Tyler is charged with negligent homicide in connection to the death of Alonzo Bagley, 43, on February 3.

Body camera footage released today shows Bagley jumping off a balcony window and running away from officers called for a domestic disturbance, then Tyler allegedly shooting him later that night.

According to KSLA-TV, the affidavit states there were no reports that Bagley was in possession of a gun, and no facts to justify the use of deadly force.
