West Baton Rouge Parish officials are enthusiastic about industrial and residential growth in the parish.
Grön Fuels is planning to build a $9 billion biofuels plant at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge.
The plant recently signed a deal to provide fuel for JetBlue, and could create more than 300 new jobs by 2024.
DOW and other companies are offering apprenticeships to high school students.
The idea is for the students to be certified to enter the workforce right after graduation.
