NWS Confirms Tornado Strike In Caldwell Parish, Two Injured

The National Weather Service is confirming that a tornado touched down in Caldwell Parish on Tuesday evening.

The agency says a radar-confirmed tornado stuck seven miles southeast of Columbia right after 6 p.m.

Caldwell Parish deputies are reporting significant damage and at least two people injured.

The Weather Service says there are also reports of damage on Highway 126 a few miles southeast of Clarks.

Entergy Louisiana reported several areas of power outages.

As many as 17 tornadoes had been reported by 10 p.m. last night, mainly in Mississippi and Louisiana.
