Officials are identifying one of the two victims of a double homicide as a retired Catholic priest.

The St. Tammany Parish coroner says 71-year-old Otis Young and another victim were discovered dead on Tuesday, burned beyond recognition behind a glass store on East Gibson Street.

Both victims died from blunt and sharp force trauma, meaning they were beaten and stabbed before they were set on fire.

The second victim hasn't been officially identified. Young's assistant, Ruth Pratts, is listed as missing.
