Steve Scalise To Be Next House Majority Leader

Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise will be the next House Majority Leader.

House Republicans voted to make Scalise majority leader today in anticipation of the party winning enough seats in the midterm election.

Scalise has served as the GOP Whip for the past eight years when Republicans were both in the majority and minority.

In a statement following his election, Scalise said the House Republican majority will fight every day to get the country back on track.
