State officials are reporting that more than 362,000 Louisiana residents voted early for next week's midterm election.
The early voting period ended on Tuesday.
The Louisiana Secretary of State's Office says just over 272,000 people voted early at the polls, and nearly 91,000 mailed in a ballot.
Republicans were more than 43 percent of the early voters, Democrats were nearly 42 percent, and the remaining 15 percent were classified as "other".
This year's early voting total surpassed 2018's figure of 307,000.
