Organizers of the Gonzales Christmas Parade are banning music from being played on floats and vehicles during this year's event.
The Jambalaya Festival Association made the announcement on Tuesday.
The public complained about some of the music coming from floats during the family-friendly event last year.
A well-known local DJ also fell off a float and died.
Organizers say the only exceptions to the music ban will be marching bands and the Coca-Cola truck that carries Santa Claus.
