Three boaters reported missing over the weekend were saved last night from shark infested waters.
The Coast Guard says two of the boaters were fighting off sharks and sustained bite wounds when they were pulled from the water near Empire in Plaquemines Parish.
The third boater was found by a helicopter crew and brought to safety.
The three were fishing on Saturday when their boat sank and left them stranded in the water.
They are in stable condition.
