Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser is announcing his plan to run for governor of Louisiana next year.
Nungesser confirmed rumors about a possible run on Tuesday during a visit to Lake Providence.
He says he plans to start campaigning in January, after making it through the midterms and taking care of some other work he wants to do before the end of the year.
