The state Supreme Court is declining Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry's request to dissolve a temporary restraining order against the state's "trigger law" banning abortion.

Landry filed a petition on Saturday on behalf of himself and Louisiana Department of Health Secretary Courtney Phillips.

A judge in New Orleans had issued the TRO, which prevents Landry and Phillips from enforcing the abortion ban.

Landry tweeted his disappointment on Wednesday.
