Electricity bills are higher lately for many Entergy customers in the greater Baton Rouge area.
The company announced more than a month ago that the price increases are being driven by the rising cost of natural gas and by hurricanes that have hit the area over the past two years.
The current heat wave isn't helping matters.
In the week of June 20, Entergy customers in Louisiana used a record amount of power, topping the company's all-time peak load in 2015.
