A Baton Rouge police officer who clashed with Chief Murphy Paul is now on leave.
A police spokesperson declined to reveal to The Advocate why Sergeant John Dauthier is not on the job only calling it an open administrative matter.
Dauthier is a member of the civil service board that handles police officer discipline.
His attorney says Paul has retaliated against Dauthier for being willing to publicly criticize him.
