The 2022 Louisiana legislative session ends today, and lawmakers are trying to get some bills passed at the last minute.

Most bills are already either awaiting Gov. John Bel Edwards's signature or have been voted down.

Bills still in play include one to automatically expunge criminal records for certain offenders, another that would allow schools to arm teachers, and a bill that would ban corporal punishment in schools for grades K-12.

The session ends at 6 p.m. today, after which time Edwards will hold a news conference as usual.
