State transportation officials say the northbound on and off ramps for the Airline Highway bridge over Florida Blvd. will be closed for emergency repairs till further notice.
The Department of Transportation and Development says a truck hauling equipment struck the bridge last Friday.
Over the weekend, damage assessment crews determined a support beam will need to be replaced.
Bridge inspectors are evaluating the damage more thoroughly this week, and will then come up with an estimated timeline for the repairs.
