Nearly 6500 EBR Residents Vote Early In Upcoming Elections

The Louisiana Secretary of State's Office is reporting nearly 6,500 East Baton Rouge Parish residents voted early in the city's upcoming primary election.

Early voting ended Saturday in the local races for a new member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council, as well as a new judge in the 19th Judicial Courthouse.

The Secretary of State's Office says more than 2,300 East Baton Rouge voters cast their ballots in person, and more than 4,100 voted via absentee ballot.
